Jefferson Bert’s personal author message

In my personal opinion, I’m not really a huge fan of cartoon movies, and I’m even less of a fan of anime. When I first saw this trailer, I was drawn to it as it was one that my mother said she would like, though I do not think she remembers seeing this trailer.

As I’m more of a typical rom-com and comedy guy, I didn’t think much of this movie and, to be honest, each time a situation presented itself where I could see this movie, I always looked for anything else that was playing to replace this movie, as I honestly thought it would be one of those movies that I would have wasted time and money seeing. I even went as far as to say at one point that I wasn’t sure if I should bother going to the theatre, as this movie would not have been one of my first choices.

As luck would have it, though, today was indeed my day to see this movie. It turned out to be one of those movies that I would have liked if I had given it the chance initially. This movie was really good. I think it really plays on the emotions that any child would have if their best friend moves away and shows that sometimes all a person needs are their memories and that it’s okay to move on.

One thing I noticed with this movie is that most of the dialogue is really mature for a film of this kind, though it is not sexual or excessively violent. It does deal with certain aspects of life that most children don’t deal with, such as death, selfishness, knowing when you have been set up, etc.

Despite this, I got right into this movie, and I will say that it was definitely worth the money spent to see it. It’s the type of movie that a person would likely get lost in and even forget their surroundings temporarily. This is what happened to me during this film. I got so lost in this movie that I forgot I was actually in the theatre at certain points! I just couldn’t wait to see how it would end.

I think the proper term to describe what I’m saying is emotional investment. That’s what this movie has. It’s one of these movies that I think a person would find themselves emotionally invested in from start to finish. I definitely enjoyed this movie and I would recommend it for sure! It was just an all-around great movie!
