This was a movie that I was really looking forward to seeing when it was released in theatres earlier this year. I had expanded my preferred genre of movies to include horror films where I used to only be interested in rom coms. I couldn't wait to see what this monkey had in store for its victims after seeing the trailer. I really enjoyed seeing this movie in a theatre initially as the surround sound speakers fit this genre to perfection. Every time the monkey let out a growl, I knew someone was about to get what was coming to them. It was an experience I really enjoyed and it was well worth the money spent to see it.

Now I chose this movie based on its runtime. I wanted to see it again on my tv in order to review it but not necessarily tonight. It was picked from a list of three or four possible selections because it was the shortest movie of all the potential movies I could have watched. I was really excited to see this again to be able to review it. On the surface, I could have given it a solid perfect score but I couldn't remember how it ended. This is another reason why I chose to watch this movie. Anyway, of course I will continue to give credit where it is due as the monkey showed no signs of remorse to any of it's victims once again. It seemed like a foregone conclusion that it would pass no matter what. The problem was that I fell asleep halfway through and missed the ending. When I woke up, I noticed that something else was already playing on the tv. For this reason, I had to really consider the final score for this movie despite it being pretty much guaranteed at one point to pass completely. At one point I even considered failing it just because I could not recall how the movie ended therefore making it a waste of a purchase. This is why it took me so long to start my review. I had to consider my decision to be able to make a proper final score. It seemed like a pass but at the same time, I felt I could not do that without actually remembering how the movie ended. At the very last minute, I realized that the action sequences as well as the violence throughout should count for something despite me missing the ending of the movie this time around. After thinking about it, I do remember how the movie ended and it was good enough. I will not discuss this as I do not want to ruin the ending for those who haven't seen this movie yet but I will say that it's worth the money and the time to watch it if you're a fan of this particular genre. Something else for me to consider when making my final decision was my opinion on the monkey himself. He may have been bad but I feel as though we all have our good days and bad days. Despite his attempts at harming people throughout this movie, he was cute enough to boost the score of this movie no matter what. I think I'm developing a fondness for these types of movies. Ones that incorporate animals in the main plot. It seems like any movie with an animal as the main focus boosts the rating of the movie even if parts of it were no good. This was the case for the movie "Monkey Trouble," where I felt the need to boost the rating of the movie despite me not agreeing with some parts of it. I think I'm becoming an animal lover through my love for movies. This was the case once again for this movie, (with the animal being another monkey coincidentally.) His presence was enough to boost the rating once again. Maybe I should adopt my own pet monkey. I'm sure it would make a great addition to the family! So to end this review, I will say that it definitely deserves to be among the best ones I've seen recently and it should be recommended!
